Opiniopedia uses several key technologies to bring it's service to you. This page will inform you of what we use and why we use it.
Permanent cookies
Opiniopedia utilises cookies to enable your login to remain active even after you have closed down your browser. Your email address is retained with this method and inserted for your convenience in the login page. If you wish to remove your email address from this section, click "Login" without typing any username or password and the cookie information will be flushed from the browser.
Email, email notifications and anti-spamming measures
Opiniopedia uses your email address as the basis for your login account username. It also uses this email address to send you alert notices. Opiniopedia will ONLY send a code verification email to the entered email address. After this initial correspondence it will attempt no further contact via email. For all email alerts, including the "Forgot password" feature, the email address MUST be verified by entering the code contained within the initial verification email.
Opiniopedia uses a delayed email alert system. The emails are sent to your mailbox periodically. Alert notices accumulate and are sent in batches. This minimises the amount of alerts you can receive from us. If your account experiences heavy activity - you receive many replies to your posts or activate the forgot password feature many many times - only one email will STILL be generated by our system. Of the number of alerts contained within one email, only the latest 20 alerts are sent to your mailbox - and it is all consolidated in to the one email message.
Opiniopedia will only send emails under "Opiniopedia Mailer Service" with the further information contained within the body of the email only.
IP Address information
Your IP Address is collected by the webserver log to generate statistics about user volume and server load. This information will help us in the general running and maintenance of the Opiniopedia website. There is no connection or resolution we have written to draw connections between your account information and the IP Address you use. It is strictly used as a function of the webserver log in generating typical website statistics.
Third parties
Opiniopedia does not on-sell your information to third parties such as advertisers, promotions agencies or other third parties wanting to use your information for financial gain. If instructed by a Court Order, however, Opiniopedia will comply with the rules and regulations in submitting your information if required to the relevant authorities.
