Starting op.org up again...
After a 6 month hiatus with paying-work, I've reignited my interest in plugging op.org and seeing how far it can grow. Over the last few months it's been getting pretty much no interest, which is fair enough as it's not exactly something that jumps out at people.

I have hope, however, that with a large enough community it will reach a level of critical mass. Whether or not it is worth the pain is what is hard to forsee.

But I think it's better to concentrate on opiniopedia.org rather than ...

Opiniopedia - the first 30 days
As some of you may know, Opiniopedia officially launched to the public on 1st Jan 2009.

It is now 31st Jan 2009, exactly 30 days later.

So much has changed in these first 30 days...

Firstly, there were several bugs to be quashed. Thanks to the users who have been patient with the system and pushed on with a new and different interface. Interface tweaks and changes. There is now a colour-coding system for Agree/Disagree/Comment/Question which was first envisaged in the Introduction Video...

Opiniopedia and general discussion
I was thinking the other day when the thread about Australia Day changing started to garner some interest. I was quite eager to see how the format deals with this type of debate, and it struck me as interesting.

How important is blogging to most people?
I posted up a question on one website that I regularly visit, NissanSilvia.com - in the off-topic section.

I asked: "Ever wanted to start up a blog?"

now, apart from getting even a little interest on the subject, I received a wave of what I would perceive as "responses from annoyed posters". In other words, they had absolutely no interest in blogging whatsoever.

Yes, in keeping with things like self expression, viewponts, etc... you can now make your own blog on Opiniopedia.

All you have to do is email me (see Contact page at the bottom of website) and request your own blog. You will be the only person who can start topics, but people can reply to your blog posts. You can gain subscribers the same way, they just add you to their "favourites" and whenever you have a blog entry to post, your subscribers will be notified of your post.
